Cathay Pacific Temporarily Closing 3 Lounges in Hong Kong Effective February 17, 2020

CX fans will not be happy as Cathay Pacific announced an advisory today that they are temporarily closing three of their lounges in Hong Kong due to their recent operational cuts and and suspension of service to many destinations in the region caused by the Novel Coronavirus #nCoV19. 

Starting February 17, 2020 the following Cathay Pacific Lounges in Hong Kong will close until further notice:

• The Bridge (near Gate 35)
• The Deck (near Gate 6)
• The Pier First Class Lounge (near Gate 63)

The following Lounges will remain open for business:

• The Wing First Class and Business Class Lounges (near Gates 1 – 4)
• The Pier Business Class Lounge (near Gate 65)

Cathay also announced that they are limiting the food offerings at their lounges in Hong Kong, Beijing, and Shanghai Pudong to prepackaged food items, and made to order hot food from the noodle bar.
