Qatar Airways just unveiled their new “Super” Business Class seats at ITB Berlin this morning. The new product is called “The QSuite”, which features a fully enclosed suite similar to the First Class offering of some carriers.
From the looks of it, the new business class cabin will be in a 1-2-1 configuration with both forward and rear facing seats. Here are the some pictures of the new seats:
From the pictures, it looks like the “honeymoon”seats can be converted into a double bed, which is currently only available on Singapore Airlines Suites on their A380. How cool is that?!
But for me, the most unique feature of these new QSuites is the ability to open the partition of the middle seats, so that a family or friends of up to 4 people can hang out and dine together during the flight.
The first aircraft that will get these new seats will be a newly delivered Boeing 777-300ER which will begin flying from Doha to London sometime this June. QR’s existing Boeing 777s and A350 will also be retrofitted with these seats, while their Boeing 787s and Airbus A380 will be fitted with a “modified” version of the product.
Here’s a video of the new product:
It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Qatar Airways. They offer good service, and their existing business class offering is already topnotch. With these seats, they have really raised the bar in the business class market. I’m very excited and hoping to experience these new seats sometime very soon.
